Another Reason I Don't Make Fun Of PETA

Live turtles, young giant salamanders, and fish sealed in plastic pouches to be sold as keychains are displayed at a roadside stall in Beijing, China, on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Each keychain is sold for 10 yuan (USD $ 1.50). The vendor claims a special liquid inside provides oxygen and nutrients for the creatures.

Thanks to TYWKIWDBI for letting us know.

  1. Like that pink liquid stuff featured in "The Abyss?" I didn't think that stuff was for real.

  2. That stuff is real.Accidentally discover by a DuPont researcher in the 60s looking for something else entirely. It was never mass produced though to my knowledge. I will bet serious money that it is not in these packages at the prices stated. It is far more likely they just lied to make a sale.
